I always hated Andrew Jackson for signing the Indian Removal Act, which led to the Trail of Tears. Funny they have similar names.

Every single person replying just makes me believe America is dumber and dumber everyday. Andrew Johnson and Jackson are not the same guy. Jackson was the trail of tears, anti-native American guy who caused the Trail of Tears and who was so anti bank he basically led America into a recession that got blamed on the next president. Johnson was the pos who later Lincoln got assassinated basically gave the due south all their powers and shit back alongside amnesty and forgiveness, which inevitably mail service and during reconstruction led to the rise and then resurgence of the KKK and jim crow laws. Both are shit but they are different

Everyone ever has the detest on for Jackson, but he was a man of his times. He was the founder of the Democratic party and he opened upward politics more to the common man by actually extending the vote to not-holding owners (granted not women and merely white men, but it was the outset step on the road to universal suffrage). He also stopped the first nullification crisis (a country tried to nullify a federal constabulary) and prepare a precedent for federal supremacy that was later fully realized past the outcome of the civil war. He went later corruption hard and pushed for laws to subtract abuse in government and to take more public oversight of bookkeeping within the government, He also increased merchandise (exports) and paid off the federal debt (the merely president to do and so). He did manifestly fight against Native Americans (Creek War) and sign the Indian removal act which from today's point of view is super negative. Merely at the time information technology is what his citizens wanted, and he was an elected official. The concept of state of war crimes as we call up of them did not first to become codified until the ceremonious state of war. Every president does terrible things, even the greatest presidents. FDR had japanese intermittent camps, but that bad affair doesn't overwrite the skillful things like the New Deal (social secuirty and such) or his leadership during WWII. George Washington also treated Native Americans very poorly, he signed a treaty with the Northwestern Confederacy and so sent an army into to squash them when they resisted the unwarranted taking of their lands, but he doesn't get the hate similar Jackson.

That son of a bitch was not hands killed. Ii assassins tried to take him out in an ambush with guns, he beat them both to death with his pikestaff hence the name "ole hickory". God he beat the shit and killed the fuck out of everyone. A regimen came beyond him in one case dorsum when he was a soldier, he had killed several men and was sitting next to their corpses eating an apple tree. They realized he was an enemy, he required them to kill i of their own to let them pass. He dropped his pants and started walking towards them while pissing and even so eating an apple tree, they shot one of their ain and fled. He chased them downward the next day and killed them and their families anyways. Son of a bitch lived to be 78 back when living to 78 was a fucking thing, even death had to come for him while he was asleep.
